We are so sad by this, but we are excited for the future.... and we truly know and believe that EVERYTHING happens for a reason!:) I did say in our "about us" tab that we would have mechanical problems on our "flight" and that we are not perfect... and this just happens to be one of those times. DEL SOL that's what we got denied to. Honestly, when we applied I had no idea really what it was... all I knew is that my dads best friends kids were on an amazing island working in a little tourist shop and EVERYTHING was being paid for. I thought WOW, how great would that be to be on an island for 6 months and just work in a shop... to get away from everything... to be on vacation.... to be in the warm sun and by the ocean.... and to be with Nate the whole time! (did I mention Kaleb and Mataya would go with us?? Talk about FUN!) We also thought that this would be a great opportunity to strengthen our marriage.... we were clearly thinking all of the great things about it... anyways... we had our first interview which went so good, then our second which went real good.... then we just got the denial letter, and honestly I was sad and frustrated and the question kept popping up of "why?" But I really had a sense of comfort and a feeling of "it's going to be ok!" I've never had such a calm, and positive feeling after getting a rejection to something we both really wanted. We really do realize and have faith that we have a bright future if we keep doing what we're doing... and that the downs only make us stronger, and we move ahead.
