Here's what went down on our anniversary!!
For some crazy reason we planned our wedding on the weekend of Fathers Day, so every year we end up doing something with both families and then celebrating our anniversary. Because daddys come first right?:)
On Sunday morning of June 15th (our anniversary), Nate had to work and left me with a "bye babe, happy anniversary I love you" and a small smooch. I got up for the day and left to my mom and dads to spend sometime with my favorite dad. It was good to see him for a few hours, I love him so much and cry thinking about him... back to our anniversary...
after visiting with my dad for a few hours, Nate arrived and gave my dad a big hug and said "thanks for being the dad to my wife" howwww sweeeeet!!!!! We got in the car and we were on our to Salt Lake to meet his family at the Little Grand America Hotel for some lunch:). We were there with not only his family but with great grandpa Jo, great grandma Donna, and with great aunts and uncles.. we were so happy to be there to spend some time with Nates dad but we were also antsy to get going so that we could just be with each other on our special day. <3
After a yummmmmy lunch, Nate took me to the Anniversary Inn (our fav place). We wanted to stay in a special room this year because next year Nate will have flight benefits so who knows where we will be... <3 So this year we chose the Romeo and Juliet Suite... so romantic and amazing!!! I love this place so much, and every stay I always manage to go back down stairs to the lobby to steal one... or maybe 5 of their yummy gooey chocolate chip cookies.... haha...
On Monday, the next morning after a nice sleep and a delicious breakfast we decided to head out and to spend some time at the ZOO (nates fav place)... we walked and walked and walked some more and had so much fun visiting the different animals. It was an overcast day so that made it good too!! We did come across Nates new bff an arangatang (is that how you spell it?? hah)... named ELI!!!! Nate fell in love and didn't want to stop looking at him, we even figured out that he was born the same year as Nate and Nate couldn't have been more thrilled!:) We also watched the bird show and scored some awesome seats, as birds flew right above our heads I couldn't stop thinking about how much I love my Nate while he held my hand.
After the fun times at the zoo we were starving... we looked up the restaurant the 'Red Iguana' and both decided that Mexican sounded delish... that's where we went and ohh boy was it good!!:) It kinda made us sick becuase it was so good!!
Once we were done with lunch Nate had to run me home so that he could go into work.. We had so much fun, and i'm s oglad we had a little time together to share our special day!
